MLBB Update
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Returns to India
Back in June 2020, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) was banned in India by
the Ministry of Information Technology. The ban was due to concerns that
certain apps and games were “engaged in activities which are prejudicial to
the sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, security of state,
and public order.”
However, there's exciting news for MOBA fans in India. MLBB, one of the most
popular MOBA titles on Android and iOS globally, is making a comeback with a
rebranded version called Moba Legends: 5v5. Published by Vizta Games, this
new release offers the complete MOBA experience of the original game.
Launched on April 24, 2024, Moba Legends: 5v5 is currently available for
download exclusively on the Google Play Store. Interestingly, the game's
listing does not mention MLBB or Moonton. It’s an exciting time for fans of
the genre in India, as they can once again enjoy the thrilling gameplay that
MLBB offers, albeit under a new name and publisher. [no_toc]
